First off, it takes an incredible amount of courage to write a book like this. Not only are you sharing your deepest and darkest secrets with the world, you are risking your relationship with each and every person that is mentioned throughout your story. So, with that said, I give Rush a ton of credit for having the courage to publish his story.I first saw Rush on the Nightwatch and was immediately drawn to him. He has an unexplainable calmness about him that you can’t help but notice. He struck me as a kind but weathered soul and now, having read his life story, I understand why I though this. His story is both tragic and inspiring. I choose to write my book reviews without revealing the plot (that takes away from the fun of reading a book for yourself). But, what I will say is that this story took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I had moments while reading that made me want to cry and moments where I found myself rooting for Rush to make the right decisions and succeed. This story is raw and sometimes uncomfortable, but I am convinced it needed to be told this way in order for the reader to truly understand. I found this story inspiring because it shows that just because life deals you an unfair hand, you do have the power to make different choices in your life and travel a better path. Rush has done just that and I really respect him for this. His life was not easy and he had obstacle after obstacle thrown in his way and I am sure he still continues to struggle but he recognized that he needed to make different choices in his life and those choices seem to have led him to a great place in his life and my only wish for him would be that he continues to make the right the choices and that maybe his story can help someone out there that may have had some of the same struggles and help them realize that things can get better.
I anxiously await the second part of this book because as the saying goes, “the story can’t end here”!

This book was enthralling! Couldn't put it down, with ever page I needed to know more! Get this book! You will not be disappointed!
The book is a great read! Runs the gamut of emotions. Witty, self-reflective, Gut-bustingly funny at times. And oh the drama, so much drama!
Very talented author.
Just when you think you know someone or think you have a rough life, it is proven that things are not as they seem or you've got it easy in comparison. Reading this reminded me if that. I was unable to put it down until I was finished. An easy read and an inspiration to those who have struggled or those who are struggling.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this book!!! I laughed and cried as I was emotionally hanging on every word. I can't say my husband, who also read it, cried but he did enjoy it just the same. You have great tallent Rush Roberts!!! It's not everyday some one can express themselves so vividly as you did in this book. My only regret is that I didn't read this sooner.
